A new card - with BOOKS! Antique book covers are so gorgeous, well-designed and full of character. I had fun designing some of my own, and painting some authentic ones. There’s something so enchanting and special about the quiet stories they hold, both inside their pages and in the wear of their well-loved covers. I tried to capture that sense of history and charm in each piece, while adding a few imaginative touches of my own. I was excited for this theme… to the point that I painted it extra large and it was my most time-consuming piece EVER!!! Most of these books are real, and some of the antique covers are based on the actual books, but several are made up. This was a fun one, especially with the metallic gold paint!
