This listing is for a print of my vintage matches watercolour illustration. MATCHES - We use them often for lighting our wood stove, bonfires in the backyard or camping, and the occasional candle :) They are less common these days, but lots of people used to collect them, and they were great little advertising pieces! I also think they’re making a comeback as wedding keepsakes :) I’d love to hear if you collect them! I was really excited for this one, and have to say that I LOVED painting these cuties!!! Each matchbook or match box is their own little creation, and I had so much fun dreaming up the designs! They are mostly all made up, using some real life inspiration, and a couple are reimagined from the real deal with new words. I could keep going with these, I had a million ideas!
